Teagasc Horticulture Portal

This is the Teagasc Horticulture Portal, which provides access to information about approved pesticides for use on horticultural crops in Ireland, as well as integrated pest management and crop agronomy. The Pesticide Control Service (PCS) of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine is divided into two divisions – the Pesticide Registration Division (PRD) and the Pesticide Control Division (PCD) – collectively known as the Pesticide Registration and Control Divisions (PRCD). This portal relies directly on information provided by the PCRD as well as EU data on MRL and product label information.

The Teagasc Horticulture Portal as currently formatted intends to provide growers and users with a quick reference to the commonly available approved pesticides, which can be used on horticultural crops in Ireland. Users can go to relevant crop page and search by Disease, Pest or Weed predominantly. The aim is to include pertinent information related to the product up front at one location to assist decision making and compliance management. Additionally direct links to Labels and EAMU documentation are available where possible. Where users want to print down certain crop specification pages of the portal, this function is available on each page.
